Cheetahs win 10 provincial titles at BC Track and Field Championships

The Coquitlam Cheetahs Track and Field Club ran, jumped and threw their way to 10 provincial titles at the BC Track and Field Championships which took place in Kamloops from July 8-10. The Cheetahs were led by Nathan George, the Canadian Champion in the 400m run, who stepped down in distance to win the BC title in the 200m.

Twins Makenna and Delaney Self raced to two wins each in the U16 age category and were named to the BC team which will be competing in the Canadian Legion Track and Field Championships in Sherbrooke, Quebec from August 6-8. Makenna completed the sprint double by winning both the 100m and 200m and Delaney swept the hurdle events by winning the 80m hurdles and the 300m hurdles.
