A Record Number of Cheetahs Headed to BC High School Track and Field Championships

Congratulations to the 29 Cheetah athletes who have qualified for the BC High School Track and Field Championships in Langley(June 8-10)! Cheetah athletes competed for their respective high schools at the Fraser North Championships on May 23 and 24. These athletes will be competing in 56 events in total.

JD practice cancelled Monday May 22nd

No JD practice on Monday, May 22nd (Victoria Day). Regular practice will return on Tuesday, May 23rd at 6:15pm.

Practice Relocated to Centennial High School Track starting Monday, May 15th, 2023

Attention all athletes, parents and coaches! We would like to inform you of a temporary change in practice location starting Monday, May 15th, 2023. Due to the upcoming track resurfacing at Percy Perry Stadium, we will be moving our regular practice to the Centennial High School Track for the rest of the season.

We understand that this change may impact travel arrangements for some of our athletes. We encourage you to plan accordingly and allow for any additional travel time that may be required to reach the Centennial High School Track.

Thank you all for your flexibility and cooperation during this temporary relocation.

Coquitlam Cheetahs' Brendan Wong runs to 6th place at the BMO Vancouver Marathon in his marathon debut!

Congratulations to Brendan Wong who was the first BC finisher and 6th overall at the BMO Vancouver Marathon on Sunday, May 7. Brendan has been a Cheetah since his high school days at Charles Best Secondary and he is an SFU graduate. His finish time was 2:25.41.

Final Date for Uniform Sign Out and Exchange

The final uniform sign-out and exchange for New and Returning Athletes this season is:

Thursday, May 4 from 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm (please note the ending time change).

Fittings and sign-outs will be available at the shed near the high jump / javelin area. New JD Athletes please bring your $100 deposit (cheque or cash) with you. Returning JD athletes who need to exchange current uniform items, please have with you the pieces you wish to exchange. Athletes should be present for the sign-out in order to be properly fitted.
