Coquitlam Cheetah Nathan George Races onto Team Canada!

Coquitlam Cheetahs' Nathan George has officially been named to Team Canada for the 2026 World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana. Nathan will be competing as part of the Mixed 4x400m relay team from May 2-3, 2026.

Last year the 4x400m mixed relay team of Austin Cole, Lauren Gale, Nathan George and Zoe Sherar booked their own ticket to Worlds in a Canadian Record time of 3:12.95 to finish third in their heat in the second round of Worlds qualifying.

Why Gaborone Matters

This event is the primary qualifier for the 2027 World Athletics Championships in Beijing. The top 12 teams in Gaborone will secure their spot for Beijing.
